Acura TL takes first place: LeaseCompare.com releases top 10 new car model lease requests for September 2001

CINCINNATI, October 3. Automobile Consumer Services, Inc. (ACS), a pioneer in online direct-to-consumer auto leasing, today released a list of the top 10 most requested vehicles last month from its popular auto leasing website LeaseCompare.com (leasecompare.com).

The list is based on quote requests submitted in September 2001 to the LeaseCompare.com leasing service. LeaseCompare.com is the first and only auto-leasing marketplace that enables consumers to compare auto lease payments in real-time from multiple lenders and apply for credit online.

NL - Cars that did not make the August Top 10 List

Cars that made the August list, but dropped off the Top 10 in September included the Audi A4 (#9 in Aug) and Honda Odyssey (#10 in Aug).

"For the first time in several months the Honda Accord is ousted by the new re-designed Acura TL in the battle for first place in this month's Top Ten List," said Tarry Shebesta, President of ACS. "Over the next few months we will see a lot of volatility in the rankings due to new 2002 model launches and rebates on leftover 2001 models. Consumers need to be careful this time of year as many 02 models when compared to their 01 counterparts will have lower payments due to naturally higher residuals on the 02's."
